As a child, I loved going up to the yard and spending every hour of the day with the horses. I was memorised with the true beauty and sheer power of them as animals and wanted a way of sharing my love of them with my family who weren't horse lovers. I'd sneak my dads little point and shoot camera into my bag in a morning and head off to the farm. As I took more and more photos, more and more people would ask me to shoot them riding. After going to a few horse shows, I decided I wanted to shoot photos of everyone and everything horse related I could. Week after week I attended more shows and got as much experience as I could, learning timings and what competitors look for in the right photos.
After years of practice and shooting from the side of the ring, I have decided to set up a new page to upload photos that have been taken when I am around at shows. I am also looking to cover Local Shows officially - recruiting other young photographers that have a massive passion for photography, advising them on the right shot and assigning them to a Ring on the Showground. Who knows if it will take off or not, but I have faith and couldn't think of anything better than helping other people out in the same situation as me!
Go and check it out, I have been active for 24 hours and already had a massive response - thank you to everyone that has shared the page and spread the word!
